Widows' Well

Helping to meet the needs of widows and single moms on behalf of local congregations. We provide support year-round and host quarterly events, including our annual Valentine's Day dinner for widows and single moms.

Who we are

Have you ever known a widow or mother in need and wished you could do more? Our mission is to share the love of Christ with women in need by connecting them with the hands of Christ (local Christian organizations) for support and relationships. We can do much more for these priceless women when we come together. This is why Widows' Well was created. We are simply a we0ll people can add to in small or large ways, providing physical help, transportation, resources, finances, and more to help women through difficult times. At the well, Jesus' body meets women who may feel out of luck, looked over and alone to say we are with you, we see you, and there is hope.

Where we're headed

We desire to build a network of supporters and volunteers who can help us identify women with practical needs and connect them to a local congregation. We want single moms to enjoy free childcare so they can enjoy a night out with their girlfriends or get some sleep. We want to see moms' smiles when they realize their kids are provided for. We want to see widows find comfort and love in their grief, knowing they are not alone. We want to see the body of Christ working together throughout the Treasure Valley to ensure every woman knows that Jesus sees them, loves them, and is their hope.
